Get answers to common questions about Tinting.
Tint longevity varies by hair growth and care. Eyelash tint typically lasts three to six weeks; eyebrow tints often last four to six weeks. Avoid oil-based cleansers and prolonged sun exposure to help maintain color, and schedule touch-ups as needed.
We perform patch tests and use gentle, professional-grade dyes. Clients with extreme sensitivity, eye infections, or recent chemical peels may be advised against tinting. Communicate allergies and medications beforehand so technicians can recommend alternatives or perform additional precautions.
Arrive with clean, makeup-free eyes and avoid oil-based products for 24 hours. Bring reference photos for preferred shade if desired. If you have prior reactions to dyes, inform us and schedule a patch test 48 hours before your appointment.
Tinting significantly reduces the need for mascara and brow pencils by darkening hairs naturally, but it won't add volume or shape. Many clients find it suffices for low-maintenance days, while others combine tinting with makeup for fuller looks.
Minor redness or temporary irritation can occur, especially without a prior patch test. Rarely, allergic reactions may happen. If you experience persistent swelling, itching, or eye discharge after treatment, contact us and seek medical attention promptly.
We recommend touch-ups every four to six weeks to maintain optimal color and coverage. Individual hair growth cycles vary; technicians will advise timing based on fading and your beauty routine. Regular maintenance keeps results consistent and prevents uneven coloring.
