Carbon laser resurfacing uses a carbon lotion that absorbs the laser energy, vaporizing pigmented cells and stimulating collagen. The laser gently removes carbon particles and damaged tissue, improving pigmentation, texture, and fine lines with controlled pulses and minimal recovery time.

Most clients see meaningful improvement after three to six treatments spaced four to six weeks apart. Results vary by skin concern and type; maintenance sessions once or twice a year can sustain improvements and address new pigmentation or texture changes.

Treatments are generally well tolerated; you may feel a warm snapping sensation. Expect mild redness and sensitivity for 24 to 72 hours. Makeup can usually be applied after 24 to 48 hours, and most clients resume normal activities quickly.

Common side effects include temporary redness, mild swelling, and flaking as treated layers shed. Rare risks include pigment changes or infection. We screen for contraindications, perform patch tests when needed, and provide aftercare guidance to minimize complications.

Ideal candidates have uneven pigmentation, fine lines, enlarged pores, or dull texture and realistic expectations. Not everyone qualifies — those with active infections, recent tanning, or certain skin conditions may need alternative treatments. A consult determines candidacy.

Avoid retinoids, harsh exfoliants, and sun exposure for at least one week before treatment. Afterward, use gentle cleanser, broad-spectrum sunscreen, and moisturizer. Avoid heavy makeup, hot showers, and vigorous exercise for 48 hours; follow our personalized aftercare for best results.
